Until July 12, the Tom Joyner Foundation and Central State University Foundation together are seeking to raise scholarship funds to support students with demonstrated financial need. We are asking you to make a contribution to the Tom Joyner Scholarship Fund of $25, $50, $100 or more to support student scholarships at Central State University.

Tom has been, indeed is, a major contributor to the Alma Mater. The Tom Joyner Foundation has contributed to or helped the CSU Foundation raise over $1.4 million in scholarship dollars for CSU students. Over six hundred students directly benefited from our collective efforts.

Further, Tom Joyner’s “You Can Go “ student recruitment campaign resulted in an enrollment increase of 100 students each year from 2003 -2006. Central State University has been designated Tom Joyner’s School of the Month more than any HBCU, with the exception of Tuskegee University.

Annually, Tom promoted the Alma Mater both nationally on the “Tom Joyner Morning Show” his syndicated radio show and locally in partnership with WROU Dayton. CSU alumni have been frequent guests. He also hosted CSU alumni as part of his immensely popular “Sky Show” in Atlanta, Detroit, and Philadelphia.

As you know, Tom Joyner has retired. The Central State University Foundation wishes to express tangible appreciation by raising additional dollars for the Tom Joyner Scholarship Fund, thus ensuring that CSU students will receive Tom Joyner Scholarships in perpetuity. But we need your help!

You can make your Tom Joyner Scholarship gift on the DONATE page on the CSUF website by following the prompts, or send your gift to: Central State University Foundation, PO Box 64, Dayton, Ohio 45464-0064.

We would like to announce the results of our successful campaign to Tom at the Tom Joyner: One More Experience featuring Kem and Babyface event on Friday, July 12 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

We hope to see you at the event.
